2D1N KALIMANTAN: ORANGUTAN TOUR BORNEO
DAY 1: AIRPORT - KUMAI - TANJUNG HARAPAN
(Tour start at 11.00)We will pick you up from airport or hotel in Pangkalan Bun and then driveto Kumai by taxi (approximately 30 minutes), passing several villages.Upon arrival in Kumai, boat up the river to explore the great mangrove,nipah palm, and wildlife along the Sekonyer river while lunch is preparedon the boat.Prepare your self for the first encounter with the Orangutan, after shorttrekking in Borneo Jungle we will meet the giant ape in Tanjung HarapanCamp. Get your camera ready, not only during the feeding, sometimes wecould see the wild Orangutan swinging between the tree on our way.Late afternoon, observe the proboscis monkey and other primates alongthe river.Overnight on the boat. DAY 2: PONDOK TANGGUI - CAMP LEAKEY - PANGKALAN BUN
After early breakfast, boat up to Pondok Tanggui Camp to witnessorangutan feeding around 9 am. Upon arrival at Pondok Tanggui, wewalk to feeding area. After orangutan feeding, we can take a shorttrekking in the forest then proceed to Camp Leakey which takes about 1,5– 2 hours by boat. After lunch, you will have a chance to take anothershort trekking or see information center before witnessing orangutans’feeding time around 2 pm.After visiting Camp Leakey, we go back to Kumai and transfer to yourhotel in Pangkalan Bun. Tour end around 7-8 pm. (B, L, D)
